Description
The Physics A.S. degree program prepares students to transfer and earn a Baccalaureate degree in Physics or a related area, by providing both physics and general education courses that parallel the first two years at a four-year institution. 

Program Learning Outcomes
1.Solve various problems by applying a fundamental understanding of the basic principles of physics and mathematics

Requirements for Program Entrance
Physics requirement: Regents Physics (exam score >/= 70) OR PHY 145 (grade of C or better).

Math requirement: HS Precalculus (exam score >/= 83) OR Level 10 Math at MCC OR MTH 175 (grade of C or better). 

Chemistry requirement: Regents Chemistry (exam score >/= 70) OR CHE 145 (grade of C or better).
